A replica of Dr. Zaius ( Maurice Evans ) mask from Franklin J. Schaffner's Planet of the Apes made in 1974 by Don Post Studios. One of the most famous and acclaimed mask makers in history, Post is best known as the official licensee of the Universal Monsters for many years. Original masks from his Don Post Studios are highly coveted today.

This original brown latex mask is sculpted in the orangutan scientist's likeness with synthetic orange simian fur applied throughout. It exhibits some discoloration and minor tearing with black tape on the inside of the mask between the eyes to reinforce that area. Dimensions: 13" x 10" x 10" ( 33.25 cm x 25.5 cm x 25.5 cm ).
