Original full head chimpanzee background mask from Planet of the Apes. ( TCF, 1968 ) This original full head chimpanzee background mask is made of latex with original hand set hair, and still retains the original Velcro backflap. In absolutely pristine condition! This mask was acquired directly from the family of Dan Streipeke, the make-up department supervisor who worked directly underneath John Chambers on the film. Full chimp masks are exceedingly rare, and this superb example, in mint and virtually unused condition, is especially desirable. A fantastic artifact from the film.
