STAR WARS ORIGINAL SAMUEL L. JACKSON MACE WINDU STUNT LIGHTSABER

Samuel L. Jackson "Mace Windu" Stunt Lightsaber from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace ( TCF, 1999 ). Original lightsaber prop used for dueling sequences in Episode I. Crafted of urethane resin with metal components and inserted metal rod and expertly painted to detail in metallic silver with black and red static knobs. Measures 21.25" x 2" ( including 10" metal rod used to affix the FX "blade" for dueling on the set ). FX "blade" not included. Exhibits production wear with 1" chip in urethane and scuffing to paint. Comes with a LOA from the Kurtz / Joiner Archive ( Gary Kurtz was producer on Star Wars: A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back ) stating: "I can confirm that this lightsaber was made for Star Wars Episode 1 for the character Mace Windu, played by Samuel L. Jackson, and then later reused in Episode 2: The Attack of the Clones, by another Jedi, Plo Koon. This saber was bought by the Kurtz / Joiner Archive as a good example of a lightsaber from the new Star Wars trilogy. It came to us via a member of the film production who was given it after the film was completed..."
