Large Auburn Tribble Prop from Episode, "The Trouble with Tribbles" of Star Trek: The Original Series ( Paramount TV, 1966-1969 ). Vintage original "Tribble" prop constructed of synthetic auburn faux fur, open on the bottom, possibly for electronics or puppeteering, and stuffed with cotton batting. Measuring 10" x 6" oblong. From writer David Gerrold's unforgettable episode "The Trouble with Tribbles". With a spaceship full of these benign furry creatures, it's quickly realized that the cute, purring life forms multiply far too quickly and eat incessantly leading to problems for the crew of the Enterprise. Exhibiting only minor age and production handling.
