GREMLINS 2 ORIGINAL STOP MOTION PUPPET

Updated: April 09, 2026

A display of a gremlin stop-motion puppet from Joe Dante's Gremlins 2: The New Batch. After the mogwai Gizmo was captured and held by scientists at a laboratory in the Clamp Center, a new infestation of gremlins were created and quickly took over the building.

The gremlins were originally designed and built by effects artist Chris Walas for the first film. For Gremlins 2, Rick Baker's Cinovation Studios handled the effects work; designs were revised slightly, and all new puppets and effects pieces were created.

This small scale full-body puppet is made of foam cast over a wire armature and is painted green with details including brown spots and yellow eyes. It comes with an acrylic display stand featuring the film's title logo. The figure is missing its right thumb and tail, and has undergone sympathetic restoration to reattach pieces that fell off over time. The foam has grown fragile with age, exhibiting drying and cracking, and should be handled with caution. Dimensions: 8" x 4.5" x 3" ( 20.5 cm x 11.5 cm x 7.75 cm).

Value: $3,000.
