Wow!! One of the most sought after collectible Robots is here! Robby the Robot from the 1956 film "Forbidden Planet!"

This excellent Robby was made by the World famous Masudaya toy company of Japan in 1997. Masudaya have captured all the fantastic detail of the original Robby the Robot and scaled it down into this gem of a replica! Robby is 4.5 inches in height with a wind up motor and when released he walks along with a left to right shuffling motion as he does in the film, wonderful!

What makes this Robby particularly rare is the fantastic box he comes with. This box type was released for the Japanese market only and not many made it to the rest of the World. Later versions of the box were made by Rocket USA but this version remains a firm favorite with collectors because of it's beautiful intricate artwork and overall rareness! If you've always dreamed of owning your very own Robby the Robot, this is your chance! He will make a fine addition to any Robot collection and always reflects a warm atmosphere from the golden age of Sci-Fi.
