This alien spider prop was used for filming in the 1998 LIS movie produced by New Line Cinema. This prop was used on the outside of the miniature model of the Jupiter-2, and the Derelict space ship. The spider's body is just under 4 inches (10cm) in diameter and is the larger of the two sizes made. It is made of solid resign, and has been painted and weathered in a blue/grey color.

Although the attacking bugs were computer generated, smaller, "real" soild spiders had to be made to attach to the hulls of the model ships for the distance shots. These were made at the prop workshop at Pinewood Studios in England. "Would like to thank, Andre Swinsco of London for this purchase!"

Value: $200.
