This is the original battery operated 1966 Lost
in Space TV series Robot by REMCO. The back of
the Robot is embossed with the Remco logo, the
production date and "Lost in Space T.M. Space
Productions".
The Remco B-9 is slightly over 12 inches tall,
and this one comes in the highly desirable and
scarce black and blue color combination with
rare blue/green claws. It is fully tested, and
the motor and light work perfectly. All plastic
parts on the body are clean and in great
condition.
The dome has the typically found separation on
these Robots, this is normal from age and not a
defect. The dome tabs are missing so while this
does not affect the Robot when in operation,
care must be taken when handling the Robot
otherwise. The side decals are in very good
condition, and the chest does not have the usual
crack.
This is a battery-operated Robot that works with
two D-cell batteries that are held in place by a
battery bar which is present. There is a light
in the chest that lights when the start bar is
pushed in, and the Robot can be steered by
moving the steering bar at the base. The arms
can be moved by pressing on the arm levers in
the back.
Value: $1,000-Up.
