ORIGINAL JONATHAN HARRIS COSTUME DRAWING (1ST SEASON) |
Updated: May 17, 2006
This is the first ever that this original drawing has been
seen by the general public. This was sent to me in May of
2005 by a fellow fan and collector. It was recently sold
and purchase by the Zastupnevich family.
As you may know Paul Zastupnevich was the assistant producer
and art director on Lost in Space, as well as other
Irwin Allen productions.
We believe this is the second season tunic costume for
Dr. Smith (Jonathan Harris). Lost in Space went to color in
1966-67 and Irwin Allen wanted bright colors for his
characters. As with first season, Jonathan Harris requested
a color change. As you can see, this was also re-vampted as
to the actors request.
The drawing measures 8 1/2" by 11" has several pencil notations,
and is signed by costume artist, Paul Zastupnevich.
Value: $2,000-Up.
