The Robot first appears as a multi-limbed alien robot but transforms into a humanoid-limbed construct after scanning Will Robinson. It quickly forms a bond with Will Robinson after Will saves its life, then continues with the Robinson adventures throughout all three seasons of Lost in Space ( 2018-2021 ).

The Robot Alien includes rubber bodysuit with partial scales, a fiberglass head statue, and detached practical arm. The scales are made of fiberglass and attached to a foam rubber body suit with snaps and plastic side-release buckles. The foam rubber pieces include a top, bottom, shoes, and neck seal. The fiberglass pieces are scales, armor, and detachable insert arm with a gloved hand for practical movement. The Stand-in Head is a solid representation of the robot alien head and does not attach to the body of the suit.
