Penny Robinson wears her spacesuit exploring a nearby planet after escaping the Resolute colony ship in the Jupiter-2 spacecraft with her family. Later in Season 2, Penny and her mother Maureen wear their spacesuits while caught in a trench on an oceanic planet during "Precipice" ( S2, E2 ). In "Shipwrecked" ( S2, E1 ), Will gives the family copies of Penny's journal "Lost in Space" recording the events of space travel as Christmas gifts.
