This is a ONE-OF-A-KIND Polymer Sculpture of Dr.
Smith from the classic TV Series "Lost in
Space." The Dr. was molded from a polymer clay,
he was then baked, painted, and glazed. After
the paint was completed artificial plant life
was added for a very special effect.
His pose was inspired by his mean spirited attitude
toward the Robinson family Robot. In one hand he
has the Robot's head, and in the other he has a
screwdriver. The height is approx. 7 inches, and
the width of the base measures at approx. 6
inches. The rock formation, alien tree,
screwdriver, Robot's head and Smith himself are
all removable using a wooden dowel system. This
was done so that he can be torn down for easy
transportation / storage . The Robot's head is
from a Polar Lights model kit and the
screwdriver was purchased separately also, these
two items are the only props used in this
handmade piece of art. The entire sculpture took
approximately 30 days to complete. The pictures
will not do justice at all, this has to be seen
in person to be fully appreciated!
The title of this creation is "Bubble Headed Boobie ...
Another terrific creation by artist, Benj Pezzolla.
