ROTO GUN (JAPANESE VERISON)

Updated: April 12, 2011

In the 1960's, any kid worth his salt was a devoted Lost in Space fan. 'Space Productions' - the name of the licensor, didn't hesitate in licensing all kinds of Lost in Space toys. The grand daddy of them all was released by Mattel - the Roto-Jet gun. Hitting prices as high as $10,000 for boxed items, this toy remains one of the most expensive collectible toys to be produced during the 1960's. The Japanese are experts at reproduction - and in the 1970's, they released a couple of very similar roto-jet guns for the Japanese market.

This is one of them. Box measures 19-3/4' long and gun measures 17' long. Probably as difficult to locate as the authorized Mattel version.

Value: $500.
