I received an e-mail on December 1, 2001 from a fellow collector, fan, and friend Ken Calis of Orange County California. He obtained these original board painted back drops used from "Sea Beneath the Sea, and The Man from the 25th Century" TV series. I was told that these paintings were displayed in Irwin Allen's office in the 1970-80's. Note that the "City Beneath the Sea" art display's the Jupiter-2 design as buildings. The other painting also the Jupiter-2 with the lower level used as a car ramp for actor James Darren leaving the spaceship. The concept was also drawned up for the Chariot for, "Lost in Space" but was never used on the TV series
producton. The paintings include mini holes within the paintings for lighting effects, which the wires are still attach to the back
of the paintings.
