THE INVADERS PHOTO GALLERY #1

Updated: January 23, 2007

I am often getting e-mails from friends, fans, & collectors alike, what are my other favorite TV shows besides Irwin Allen productions? Well?? How about this classic sci-fi adventure, "THE INVADERS" starring Roy Thinnes as David Vincent. A Quinn Martin production in 1967 on the ABC-TV network. This was an exciting show with great special effects and music. The saucer was a simple, but cleaver design. The music scared the living witts outta me to this very day.

The earth alien beings were attempting to take over the earth, and make it there own home. Only David Vincent knew of there take-over, and know one would believe him. The only way to destroy them was to shot them. They would burn up like a star trek phaser hitting them.

Sadly because of high production cost, the series was canceled after only one year on the air. The networks had very little interest with sci-fiction shows during the 1960's. Regardless of good ratings.

This show is now available on VHS and DVD. A timeless show worth watching over and over again. Very few collectibles were made on this show. Several novels, comic books, and several kits on the UFO space craft.

The Invaders presents TV auidiences with a series about aliens whose human disguises let them blend easily into society, but many of whom are given away by a tiny deformity: a mutated pinkie finger. The series stars Roy Thinnes (Doppleganger, Dark Shadows) as David Vincent, an architect who unwittingly stumbles onto the horrible truth. The series runs for 43 episodes and is hailed by many genre fans as one of the great sci-fi series of the 1960's.
