IN MEMORY OF COMIC WALLY COX #01 |
Updated: July 14, 2022
The Garden Island one is on Lake Champlain, just off
shore from Plattsburgh, NY. The blonde on the right is me,
and the brunette on the left is Wally's daughter, Alice Cox.
I've lost contact with Alice, but wouId love to locate her.
I still live in Plattsburgh, and the photo was taken during
one of Wally's summer visits to us.
The B&W pic with the broom was taken at Wally's summer home
on LI, before he moved to Hollywood, CA. That's me with him.
I'll always remember the run down condition of his homes!! He
didn't like housekeepers around, so everything was usually
cluttered and in need of repair. He preferred to live in old
"fixer upper" homes. The last home he had in BelAire CA, was
the nicest one I remember!
There is also one of Wally as a young boy. I believe it was
taken at his home in MI, but I'll ask my mom?
I am delighted that Amy found our website, and contacted me
regarding Wally Cox. I received several e-mails from Amy in
May/June 2004 asking me if I would like to do a tribute to her
late uncle. Amy was kind enough to send me a bunch of rare
family photos of Wally and his family. These photos have
NEVER been released to the general public, until now. We hope
to share additional photos of Wally and his life in the years
ahead.
"Many thanks to Amy for sharing these loving memories will all
of us!"
