Batwing from Batman ( Warner Bros., 1989 ). Original master pattern ( aka buck ) model used to make the mold that created the Batwing filming miniature. Constructed of carved wood, cast resin, fiberglass, and mixed-media components. Painted in cobalt blue. Designed and created for Tim Burton's first installment in the superhero franchise, this represents the first time the superhero vehicle was called a "Batwing" rather than "Batplane" and the first time the Bat-insignia was incorporated into the overall design. The 27.25" x 22" x 6" model exhibits age, production handling, paint rubbing, scratching, and does not include back fins, cockpit dome, artillery, or other accessories ( such items were created using separate, distinct molds ).

Value: $2,000.
