BATMAN AND ROBIN MOVIE ORIGINAL COWL (GEORGE CLOONEY) |
Updated: March 15, 2026
Batman's ( George Clooney ) cowl from Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin. Batman wore his cowl throughout his and Robin's ( Chris O'Donnell ) efforts to take down criminals Poison Ivy ( Uma Thurman ) and Mr. Freeze ( Arnold Schwarzenegger ), later changing into an Arctic variant for the finale.
Batman's signature Batsuit, including its cowl, was redesigned for the film by costume illustrator Miles Teves and key sculptor Jose Fernandez under the direction of Schumacher and Academy Award nominee Bob Ringwood.
This costume consists of black foam rubber cowl with pointed ears and sharp angular features, including the brow and nose. The cowl's interior features a thin fabric lining and the back of the cowl features a zipper to allow it to be more easily dressed onto a performer's head. The zipper is an unusual custom feature and may indicate the cowl was intended for special sequences. At the base of the cowl is an oval where the chest emblem would be attached; it is marked "AD UP 10" on the front and "1800 / 8241" on the other side. The left side bib section is somewhat misshapen and the cowl exhibits wear to the ear tips, bending to the ears, and tearing in the foam, particularly on the bottom side of the nose and around the edges of the base.
Value: $10,000.
