Original Irving Block concept painting for Forbidden Planet.
(MGM, 1956) An original acrylic painting depicting a very
early version of Robby the Robot (looking more like a 1950's tin
man), from a scene in the film in which he soars above ground in a
futuristic sled-like vehicle, with visiting earthmen riding in the
rear. Accompanied with two smaller paintings of the same scene,
from different perspectives. Framed together to 17 1/2 in. x 15
1/2 in. overall.
